From the passionate chorus of voices at the ‘Global Congress of Youth Blood Donor Motivators’ emerged a national dream: a united federation to strengthen India’s blood donation ecosystem. This dream took shape as FIBDO – the Federation of Indian Blood Donor Organisations, a national family of blood brothers and sisters committed to a noble cause.
FIBDO Kerala is the proud embodiment of this vision in God’s Own Country. We are the state chapter of this first and only national platform for voluntary, non-remunerative blood donor organizations in India. Born from the same spirit of camaraderie and shared purpose, we are a collective of passionate volunteer groups from across Kerala, united by a single mission: to achieve self-sufficiency in safe blood for our state through voluntary blood donation.
Our journey in Kerala mirrors the national ethos. We are a platform for sharing, learning, and growing together. We bring together the experience and energy of dedicated donor motivators from every corner of the state—from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod. Through collaborative blood donation camps, innovative awareness programs, workshops, and felicitation events, we work tirelessly to honor our donors and inspire new ones.
Leveraging the unique cultural fabric of Kerala, our campaigns are vibrant and engaging. We take to the streets with impactful walkathons (‘Walk for Blood’), powerful street dramas, educational exhibitions, and interactive events for all ages. We celebrate every significant day in the blood donation calendar, making our cause visible and vocal in the community.
FIBDO Kerala is more than an organization; it is a family. We are a network of support, a repository of knowledge, and a driving force for policy advocacy in the field of transfusion services within the state. We stand together to overcome challenges and celebrate every life saved.
